THREE Basingstoke Bluefins swimmers, Sam Irvine, Adam Milne and Mitchell Coombs, took part in the British Swimming Championships at the London Aquatics Centre.
The championships, which took place last week, doubled as British selection trials for the World Championships in Kazan, Russia as well as the European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan and European Youth Olympic Festival in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The Bluefins’ Annual Graded Open Meet, on Easter Saturday, saw all the winners receive an Easter egg in addition to their medals.
The best Bluefins performers, who all won gold medals, were Rachel Gatfield, Eloise L’Heureux, Louise Evans, Jonathan Blakeley, Lucy Williams and Sarah-Jayne Cowlam.
Meanwhile, Bluefins swimmers also competed at the Level One, three day Easter Gala in Portsmouth. Sam Irvine, Adam Milne, Lucy Milne, Mitchell Coombes, Finlay Evans, Alfie Evans, Mairead Barker, Molly Goffin, Daisy Moore and Oliver Waldram all picked up medals.
