STUDENTS from Basingstoke School of Martial Arts claimed a hat-trick of junior titles at the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu UK Nationals.
A team of eight travelled to the tournament, which was held in Birmingham, with six of them returning home with medals, three of which were gold.
Luke Etheridge, Ethan Etheridge and Lauren Collins all won their events to be crowned national champions, while Holly Collins picked up a silver medal. Finley Fryer and Harry Baker both won bronze medals.
Brazilian Jiu Jistsu is a sophisticated grappling martial art, which relies on leverage, timing and technique. It has been made popular by its use in mixed martial arts events such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
