BASINGSTOKE B joined Salisbury D at the top of the Southampton Chess League Division Five after a 2.5-1.5 win over Ringwood C.
Adam Matthew got Basingstoke off to a solid start with a good win and this was quickly supported with a Paul Vanlint victory and a draw from David Graham.
