THE Bluefins started the long-course season with a Level 1 meet at Portsmouth last weekend.
The swimmers adjusted well from a 25m to 50m pool and there were a large number of personal best times.
The highlight of the meet came from Mitchell Coombs, who achieved the qualification time for the British Championships, which take place in April.
The medal winners over the weekend were Adam Milne (three gold, one silver, one bronze), Alfie Evans (one gold, two silver, two bronze), Amelia Trist (one gold, one silver, one bronze), Daisy Moore (one gold, one silver, one bronze), Kate Carter (one gold, four bronze), Graeme Richardson (one gold, one bronze), Molly Goffin (three silver). one bronze), Sophie Graham (two silver, one bronze), Finlay Evans (two silver, one bronze), Mitchell Coombs (two silver), Hayley Chui (one silver, two bronze), Oliver Waldram (one silver, one bronze) and Lucy Milne (one silver).
The Bluefins will take five swimmers to the prestigious South Zonal competition, which is being held at London Aquatics Centre, the venue for the 2012 Olympic Games.
