BASINGSTOKE Bluefins masters swimmers enjoyed great success at the Yorkshire Open held at the Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

In total, five swimmers, Steve Greenfield, Ian Cameron, Olly Espinasse, Spencer Turner and Fleur Parker, travelled north, and every one of them returned with at least one gold medal.

Cameron won both the 400metres freestyle and 100m individual medley, Greenfield took first place in the 100m backstroke and 100m individual medley, while Turner also won a golden double, in the 50m freestyle and 100m individual medley.

Espinasse won the 100m butterfly and took silver in the 100m individ-ual medley and Parker won her gold in the 50m freestyle.

The four men in the team then joined up to add to their golden tally with victories in the 100m freestyle relay and 100m medley relay.

The masters swimmers will be chasing more success in their next outing in long course races at the South East Regionals.
