ANDREW Balding-trained colt Impulsive Moment finished 11th in the Derby at Epsom Downs on Saturday.
The 50-1 shot, ridden by David Probert, began slowly and was towards the rear of the pack in the opening stages. An effort going down to Tattenham Corner saw Impulsive Moment turn for home 12th, but he was unable to make any headway in the long closing straight and faded before the one furlong marker.
The colt, who is trained at Balding’s Kingsclere stables, ended up just outside the top 10, well behind winner and 11-8 favourite Australia.
