WHITCHURCH United were no match for Wessex League Premier Division leaders Salisbury on Saturday, conceding three early goals on their way to a 4-0 defeat.
The Jam Boys are the only side to have beaten Steve Claridge's team in the league this season, winning 2-1 away from home in the first week of the season, but there was to be no repeat performance at Longmeadow.
The visitors were three goals to the good inside 12 minutes, with former Basingstoke Town striker Robbie Matthews coming off the bench to add a fourth at the end of the game.
Whitchurch, who sit 20th in the table, face another tough test tomorrow, when they travel to second-placed AFC Portchester in the Russell Coates Cup.
