TADLEY Calleva boss Danny Dolan has one thing on his mind this season and this is to get his side promoted in the Wessex League Premier Division.

There first game is at home on Saturday when US Portsmouth are the visitors.

Last season, the side based at Barlow’s Park came seventh and with three going up this time around, he wants his side to be one of them.

Dolan has seen his side have an excellent pre-season winning in all their games and they signed off in style with a 6-0 success over Mortimer Village last Saturday.

Leading scorer last term Brett Denham and former Basingstoke Town striker George Hallahan led the way with two goals each, while Luke Maclean and Tyrell Reid also found the target.

Hallahan is one of three former Town players at Tadley now along with goalkeeper Kieran Greene and Alex Charlick.

Other additions to the squad include Danny Phillips from Romsey and Paul Coventry..

An addition to the coaching staff is former Whitchurch boss Brian Drury, who will bring a wealth of experience and first team coach is Dean Hutchins.

Dolan said: “The main priority for me this season is promotion. I am very pleased with the squad I now have at the club and it now just a matter trying to keep everyone happy. We have a lot of options and I really can’t wait to get started after a really good pre-season.”
