TADLEY Calleva suffered a penalty shoot-out heartache as they beaten in the final of the North Hants Senior Cup by Fleet Town.

Wessex League Division One Tadley put up a great show against the Southern League side rivals as the game ended 0-0 after 90 minutes.

Fleet's goalkeeper Ryan Pryce then saved all three Tadley spot kicks as Fleet won the shoot-out 3-0.

Tadley opened the better in the contest played at the Ark Cancer Charity Stadium as Cameron George and Brett Denham had early chances.

Tadley man of the match Tom Hindmarsh was then called into action to make a great save from Zac Hawker and Fleet's Rob Carr saw a shot hit the post after 24 minutes.

Just before the break, a great double stop from Hindmarsh kept the score at 0-0.

After the interval, Fleet had the more chances, but George Hallahan so nearly won the game, but his shot came back off the post.

Then another great save from Hindmarsh from Simba Mlambo made sure the game went to penalties which Fleet won.

Tadley manager Danny Dolan said: "I could not have asked for more from my players. I am very proud of the performance, but the second year running we have ended up runners-up."

Tadley warmed-up for the final with a 1-1 draw in the league with Folland Sports last Saturday, as Denham scored their goal.

Hindmarsh made a couple of excellent saves late in the game to make sure of honours were even.

This weekend, Tadley have a long trip to fourth placed Christchurch.
