TADLEY Calleva bounced back to winning ways on Tuesday night with an impressive 4-2 win over visiting AFC Stoneham, in the battle between fifth and sixth in the Wessex League Division One.

Having gone a goal down, Tadley hit back to lead 2-1 at half-time thanks to Brett Denham and Hungerford Academy player 17-year-old Harry Monger on his home debut.

In an even game, the home side extended their lead to 3-1 after the break, as Danny Vickers converted a Sam Hamilton cross.

With seven minutes left, Stoneham pulled a goal back from a corner and Denham made the game safe with his fourth.

Tadley boss Danny Dolan said: "It was nice to see us get back to winning ways against a very good side."

Three days earlier Tadley went down 3-1 at leaders Hamble Club.

Connor Thorne opened the scoring for the visitors and Hamble scored two late goals to win the contest, but Dolan was pleased with his side's performance.

Tadley are on their travels this weekend with a trip to US Portsmouth and then on Tuesday night they entertain Premier outfit Blackfield and Langley in the Wessex League Cup.
