WHITCHURCH United will lock horns with local rivals Tadley Calleva on Thursday night (7.45pm) in the final of the North Hants Senior Cup at the Camrose.

Whitchurch manager Carl Bennett has a full squad to pick for the game and believes if his side play as well as they can they will lift the trophy, which was so cruelly taken away from them last season.

Bennett said: "We have some unfinished business in this competition as last year we led right up to the end against Winchester City, only for them to score a late equaliser and then win the game on penalties."

"I have a full squad to pick from and after Saturday's performance against Blackfield and Langley I have a real headache as to who to pick in my starting line-up."

"I know on our day if we play well we can beat any side at this level, but if we don't Tadley will beat us as they are a good side."

Coming back into the squad for the final is Aaron Jarvis, who has recently been in action for Basingstoke Town, while Craig Rutledge is back after being suspended at the weekend."

The Jam Boys last game in the Wessex League Premier Division, saw them beaten 4-3 by visiting third placed Blackfield and Langley.

After going a goal down Scott Hassell equalised and then Rudy Plummer made it 2-1.

The visitors levelled things, only for Jack McCarthy to put Whitchurch 3-2 ahead.

However, even reduced to 10 men due to injury, Blackfield scored twice in the last five minutes to take the win.

The Jam Boys will finish 14th in the table, unless Brockenhurst win at Horndean tonight.

Talking after the game, Bennett said: "They had four chances and scored four and we had 20 chances and scored three, so I cannot be disappointed as we matched a top side in this league. I told the players the shirts were up for grabs for the final and they all turned in performances. Dave Parry was outstanding for us."
