BRETT Denham ended 2015 in a superb fashion as he hammered in a hat-trick for Tadley Calleva beat visiting Fleet Spurs 5-1 in the Wessex League Division One.

the home side were always in control in this game which saw new signing from Guildford City Josh Drew make his debut.

Mario Nurse opened the scoring from the penalty spot after a visiting defender was to adjudged to have handled the ball.

Denham then scored a brace as Tadley went in at half-time leading 3-0.

The visitors hit back after the break, but it turned out to be a consolation as James Tennant netted with a lovely 25-yard strike when the Fleet goalie was caught off his line.

The scoring was then completed by a great team goal which involved Tennant, sub Grant Powell, Dave Morgan, before Denham scored with his hat-trick goal.

On Saturday, Tadley trip to Hythe and Dibden was postponed and this weekend they are at home to AFC Stoneham and then on Tuesday night they travel to Pewsey Vale.

Tadley manager Danny Dolan was delighted with his sides victory and said: “It was very comfortable and now I want us a start a winning run. AFC Stoneham have a new manager so we do not know what to expect from them even if we beat them 4-0 last time.

“I still think we can finish the season in the top four, as we have a lot of games left and anything can happen in the second half of the season.
