TADLEY Calleva suffered a 1-0 defeat at Laverstock and Ford in the Wessex League Division One.
The home side scored the winner with a wonder goal in the first 45 minutes, with a shot which was taken by the wind and flew past goalkeeper Tom Hindmarsh.
The visitors had chances before the break from James Tennant and Scott Kinge and then after interval found tit difficult to break down the home side in difficult conditions.
After the game Danny Dolan said: "We were beaten by a very good goal and conditions were not good, but we did not create enough in the second half. We will dust ourselves down and go again on Saturday. when we have a massive game at home to Haywards Heath in the FA Vase."
