TADLEY Calleva made it into the second round of the FA Vase for the first time in their history, after they won 2-1 at Littlehampton.

They will now face another Sussex side Haywards Heath Town in the next round, this time at home on November 21.

The visitors to Littlehampton were quickly out of the blocks, as Scott Kinge headed in James Milford's cross after nine minutes.

The home side made the most a fortunate slip soon after to level things, before Milford tested the home goalie.

Tadley goalie Tom Hindmarsh was then called into action to make a couple of good saves as it remained 1-1.

Then just as the tie looked to be heading for extra time man of the match Grant Powell went on a mazy run and after an inter change of passes from Kinge and James Tennant, Powell slotted the ball home with a minute left.

After the game Danny Dolan said: "This was a massive win for the team and we will now look forward to the next round and a home tie."

Tadley have no game this weekend, but are in North Hants Senior Cup action on Tuesday November 10 (7.30pm) when Alresford Town are the visitors.
