NORTH Hampshire teams endured mixed fortunes in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round on Saturday.

Hartley Wintney are through, but Whitchurch United face a replay tomorrow night and Tadley Calleva are out of the competition.

Combined Counties League Premier Division side Hartley will host Southern League outfit Banbury United in the Preliminary Round next weekend after winning 2-0 away at Chinnor.

There were few chances in a goalless first half, but Sam Argent opened the scoring after the break to put the visitors ahead.

Hartley return to league action tomorrow night, hosting Guildford City, who beat Wessex League Division One side Tadley Calleva 3-2 in the cup on Saturday,

An early penalty had visiting Guildford in front and they doubled their lead on 17 minutes before adding a third early in the second half.

Goals from James Tennant and Ryan Stephens set up a dramatic closing 15 minutes, but Tadley were unable to complete the comeback.

Jack McCarthy scored for Wessex League Premier Division outfit Whitchurch as they drew 1-1 at home to Western League side Wincanton Town.

The replay will take place in Somerset tomorrow night, with the winners earning a trip to Southern League Winchester City.
