Hartley Wintney progressed into the final of the Aldershot Senior Cup with a comfortable win over Farnham Town.

A good crowd of 143 saw a much changed Row team make a blistering start and effectively end the game as a contest in the first 10 minutes.

On two minutes Louie Paget made good progress down the right and his accurate cross found Steven Duff who made no mistake from the edge of the box.

A minute later the visitors had a chance when a good move involving Jack Dillon and Max Meaton enabled a shot from Nick Medcraft which brought out a save from Hartley goalkeeper Chris.Harris.

However on five minutes the Row increased the lead when Steven Duff was fouled inside the penalty box. James Tennant converted the resultant spot kick.

On eight minutes it became three, Jayden Englefield showed trickery on the right and his cross found James Tennant who fired home.

Farnham responded well and had a few chances before Jack Dillon got behind the Row defence on 23 minutes.

As he rounded the Row goalkeeper Harris brought him down. Adam Horton took the penalty and scored with a well struck shot.

The game became very open with chances at both ends. However it was Hartley who scored the next goal on 29 minutes.

An accurate pass forward by Adam Everiss found Steven Duff who scored with a good lob over Farnham goalkeeper Richard Ossai.

Farnham responded well and scored a good goal on 33 minutes.

Max Meaton found space on the right of the Row defence and his cross was converted with a good header from Nick Medcraft.

The second half saw a much tighter game with far fewer chances.

On 55 minutes the Row added a fifth goal. James Tennant went on a long run from midfield and his lay off gave Ian Jones the chance to fire home from the edge of the box.

Farnham had the vast bulk of possession but were unable to fashion any chances to trouble Harris in the Hartley goal.

In added time a corner from Adam Everiss was headed home in powerful fashion by Declan Shuttleworth.

On Saturday, Hartley continue their quest for promotion on Thursday at home to Fleet, then on Saturday they are away at Ashford Town on Tuesday night they travel to Kempston.
