ROSS Cook hit his second hat-trick in as many games as Hartley Wintney won at Sutton Common Rovers 8-2.

Cook took just nine minutes to get on the scoresheet, before the home side equalised to make it 1-1.

The visitors hit a magnificent seven goals after the interval, with Dean Stow getting the first, before Cook netted a brace to complete his hat-trick.

Young left back Adam New opened his account for the season with a header and an own goal made it 6-1.

The home side then netted their second, but Hartley were not finished.

Steve Duff netted number seven and then set-up captain Sam Argent for the Row’s eighth.

Joint manager Danny Brownlie said: “It was a great all round performance from the boys. Ross Cook again demonstrated why he is one the most feared strikers in this league with two hat-tricks in a week.

“We were happy with the performance and result, but it is early days.”

Hartley have a mouth watering local derby with visiting Camberley tomorrow morning at 11.30am.
