HARTLEY Wintney have a busy week starting tomorrow night with a trip to Guildford City and then on Saturday there is the top of the table clash with Ashford Town, before they entertain Cove on Monday (11.30am).

The Combined Counties League Premier Division leaders Hartley warmed-up for these games with a superb 6-0 home victory over Colliers Wood last Saturday.

The home side started well as Dean Stow's header hit the post in the opening minute.

This was the warning sign and on the 10 minute mark Steve Noakes was found by a lovely pass from the impressive Stow and the centre-half showed great ball control, before he calmly slotted home.

Hartley continued to press and a lovely one-two from Stow and Callum Eagle, saw Eagle send a cross to the back post where captain Sam Argent scored.

The lively Dan Harding then shot wide for the visitors, before Argent hammered home a third after Andre Williams and Ian Jones combined.

The skipper completed a first half hat-trick as he was released by Stow, which took his tally to 100 goals for the club.

After the break, the visitors had a good period of pressure, but just after the hour mark Hartley made it 5-0 as Eagle played the ball into the path of Aaron Parfitt to score.

Then with 10 minutes left a nice shot from Stow could only be parred by Wester Young in the Collier net and Argent netted his fourth of the contest.

After the game joint manager Daniel Brownlie said: "Sam Argent has be the man of the match with four goals and we played well today. We now face some tough games as Guildford are in form and so are Ashford, before we face Cove. We want to carry on like we are and I am looking forward to all the games."
