HARTLEY Wintney remain two points clear at the top of the Combined Counties League Premier Division despite losing a thriller 3-2 at home to Badshot Lea.

It was the village side's first league defeat in 16 games and the visitors won the game with two late goals.

Badshot opened the scoring, but Sam Argent levelled things thanks to a penalty and after the break Argent made it 2-1.

The visitors left it late to win the game as they scored twice.

Hartley will hope to bounce back to winning ways on Saturday when they have a trip to Redhill.
