HARTLEY Wintney maintained their 100 per cent record in the Combined Counties League Premier Division with a 2-1 win away at Raynes Park Vale on Saturday.

After a scoreless first half, on-loan striker Eddie Smith opened the scoring for Hartley early in the second period, finishing a neat move that involved Adam Everiss and Sam Argent.

Everiss doubled the lead soon after, cutting in from the left and firing a shot in off the post.

Some sloppy defending allowed Raynes Park to pull a goal back, but Hartley held on to make it eight wins from eight games at the start of the season.

The village side sit fourth in the table, nine points behind the leaders but with six games in hand.

They are back in cup action tomorrow night, travelling to Sandhurst Town in the Aldershot Senior Cup.
