HARTLEY Wintney bounced back to winning ways following their FA Cup exit with a 4-2 win over Horley Town in the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup last night.

Eddie Smith, who is on loan at the club from Slough Town, opened the scoring early on, but Hartley did not perform at their best in the first half and were pegged back before the break.

However, their class showed in the second half, with Ian Jones, Smith and Sam Argent all finding the net before Horley scored a late consolation.

Hartley, who have won all seven of their games in the Combined Counties League Premier Division so far, return to league action with a trip to Raynes Park Vale on Saturday.
