HARTLEY Wintney completed a miserable Easter weekend by losing at home to struggling Knaphill in the Combined Counties League Premier Division yesterday.
The visitors, who are battling to keep their place in the division, took the lead from a corner after just 10 minutes, while Hartley’s task was made even harder when Ross Cook was sent off before half-time.
Despite this, Luke Walker scored to level the game, but Knaphill managed to grab a second goal in the closing stages to pick up three vital points.
The result made it two defeats from two games over Easter, with Hartley slipping to ninth in the table as a result. They welcome another side battling against the drop, Hanworth Villa, to the Memorial Ground on Saturday.
