OVERTON United manager Gregor Restell was happy with a point at Hedge End Rangers, which keep the gap to 10 points between his side and the bottom side in the Hampshire Premier League.

Restell said: "We had the lion share of possession, but it was a game of few chances from two sides near the bottom of the table.

"I think the point was better for us than them, but we still have some work to do to make sure we do not get into a relegation battle."

Overton's best chances came from Sam Aldoori with a free-kick which was saved and David Asker fired over.

This weekend Overton have no game after the demise of the Andover Lions, so their next game is on March 4 when they entertain Clanfield.
