OVERTON United scored with the last kick of the game to make sure they got their deserved share of the points at Liphook in the Hampshire Premier League.

The visitors shaded the first 45 minutes, as Jordan Grant went close twice and striker Siyani Thomas caused numerous problems.

Tom Brewer on his debut in the Overton defence, along with Craig Smith and Archie Fletcher kept the home side out, with goalkeeper Carl Clayton's handling excellent throughout the contest.

The home side broke the deadlock in the contest as they took the lead 25 minutes into the second-half from close range.

The visitors hit back and Nathan Rae was denied, before the same player scored with a superb free-kick which flew into the corner of the net with what was the last kick of the game.

Overton boss Titch Bloomfield said: "I felt a draw was a fair result, even if we left it really late to score. It was great to bounce back after our loss against the leaders Hamble, but they have loads of money and are Wessex League bound."

This weekend, Overton, who are 13th in the table, have a tough trip to fifth placed Bush Hill.
