OVERTON United extended their winning run to three games as they beat visiting Colden Common 2-1 in the Hampshire Premier League.

The home side took the lead after 10 minutes after Lath Aldoori beat a couple of players and found Charis Lavisher who turned the centre half before he scored.

Overton doubled their lead 15 minutes later as Craig Smith set Lavisher on his way and he beat the out rushing goalie.

It remained 2-0 at the break, but after the interval Colden pulled a goal back, before Myles Englefeld was denied a third goal for Overton.

Then in the last 30 seconds of the game Sean O'Brien pulled an excellent save to make sure his side took all three points.

Manager Titch Bloomfield said: "We are playing with confidence now and certainly feel we have two winnable home games before Christmas."

The first side to visit on Saturday (2pm) are QK Southampton.
