AFC ALDERMASTON opened their Hellenic League Division One East home campaign in fine style, as they beat visiting Sandhurst Town 3-1.

The home side took the lead after six minutes, as Lee Wheeler scored and they still led at half-time.

With 10 minutes left, Danny Turner equalised for Sandhurst, but Aldermaston were not to be denied victory, as Kai Parton-Edey scored twice in the space of three minutes to make it 3-1 after 85 minutes.

Aldermaston are on their travels this weekend to Bicester, and they then entertain Wantage Town on Monday (3pm).
