TADLEY Calleva staged a dramatic comeback to keep their faint hopes of winning the Wessex League Division One title alive.
Danny Dolan’s men were two goals down with only 20 minutes left at home to struggling Romsey Town on Saturday, but they scored four goals in the closing stages to claim a memorable win.
Brett Denham and Adam Alliston both scored twice for Tadley, who sit second in the table, 10 points behind leaders Team Solent but with two games in hand.
Winning the title may be a long shot, but Tadley are still in pole position to finish second and secure promotion to the Premier Division. However, it looks set to be a tense end to the season as they are just three points clear of third-placed Cowes Sports, having played a game more.
Tadley’s Easter fixtures see them travel to Pewsey Vale on Saturday, before hosting Fleet Spurs on Monday.
Whitchurch United were without a game at the weekend. They are at home twice over Easter, hosting bottom side Totton and Eling on Saturday and mid-table Andover Town two days later.
