WHITCHURCH United sit top of the Wessex League Premier Division table after extending their unbeaten start to four games with a 3-1 win away at Totton and Eling last night.
Ben Thomson put the Jam Boys ahead on 17 minutes and while the hosts pulled level just after the hour, two goals in two minutes from Mitch Fear and Jack McCarthy earned Whitchurch all three points.
Next up for Whitchurch is a visit from Western League outfit Hallen in an FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie on Saturday.
Manager Carl Bennett said: “It’s a massive game for the club and we are looking to get a result.
“The FA Cup can bring a bit of money into the club and we have a score to settle with Hallen, because they beat us in the competition last year.”
