TADLEY Calleva’s resurgence continued as they beat New Milton Town 3-1 in Wessex League Division One on Saturday.

Danny Dolan’s men did not get off to the greatest of starts at Barlows Park, going a goal down on 20 minutes after allowing the visitors’ top striker a free-header, but they were level before half-time.

Shaun Dallimore’s excellent ball into the area found Ash Roberts and while his header hit the crossbar, Brett Denham was on hand to slot home the rebound.

Tadley manager Dolan switched to a 4-3-3 formation after the break and his side dominated proceedings, but it took them until the 85th minute to grab the lead, Mario Nurse slotting home from the penalty spot after Roberts had been fouled.

Jason Graham sealed the victory in injury-time, cutting in from the left and beating two men before rolling the ball home to complete a 3-1 win for the hosts.

Manager Dolan said: “It has been a good week all-round. I always said we were not that far off and it was just about having a full squad available, which is what is happening now.

“If we can carry the momentum we have forward then we should start to climb the table.”

Saturday’s win left Tadley 10th in the standings but they face a tough task tomorrow night, when they travel to Wessex Premier outfit Alresford in the North Hants Cup.

“Alresford are a very good side but it’s a one-off cup game,” Dolan said. “It will be a bonus if we can get through but nobody expects us to win. If we go there with the same attitude and commitment we showed on Saturday then we should give a good account of ourselves.”

Next up for Tadley in the league is a trip to struggling Andover New Street on Saturday.

“If I can take a full squad for that game then we will be going out all guns blazing,” Dolan said.
