READING had their Championship fixture at Wolves postponed due on Saturday to heavy snow in the Midlands.

Jaap Stam's men were due to take on the runaway leaders at Molineux, with a 5.30pm kick-off time.

The match was also scheduled for live broadcasting by Sky Sports, but it has fallen foul of the wintry weather as conditions at Molineux and the surrounding area are too dangerous according to the Wolves’ Safety Advisory Group.

A date for the rearranged fixture will be announced shortly.

Royals were major underdogs for the clash against table-topping Wolves, having won just one of their previous 14 Championship fixtures.

That left Stam's men 18th in the table and only four points above the relegation zone.

Their next fixture is now a massive six-pointer against Bolton Wanderers at Madejski Stadium on Tuesday night (8pm).
