READING will start their quest for Championship glory with a trip to London, to face Queen's Park Rangers on Saturday August 5.

The following Saturday is the first game at the Madejski Stadium, when Fulham visit, who they beat in the play-off semi-finals last season.

Three days later on September 15, Aston Villa will be the visitors for the first mid week game.

The Royals will have a busy time over Christmas with four games in 10 days, starting at home to Burton Albion on December 23, followed by a trip to Bristol City on Boxing Day.

The last Saturday of 2017 they are on their travels to Barnsley and then New Year's Day will see Birmingham City visit.

Reading's final home game is against Ipswich Town, with the league finale at Cardiff City on Sunday May 6.
