READING missed out on a trip to Wembley, as they lost 2-0 to visiting Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.

The Eagles soared into the semi-finals, thanks to a penalty from Yohan Cubaye and late strike from Fraizer Campbell.

Palace had the better of the game, but it was not until five minutes from time, that they were able to beat the superb Ali Al-Habsi.

A push on Yannick Bolasie by Jake Cooper saw the home defender receive his second yellow card and the Eagles were awarded a penalty.

Al-Habsi got a hand to Cubaye's spot kick, but could not keep it out.

Then four minutes into added on time a lovely ball from Emmanuel Adebayor saw Campbell's first shot hit the post, but he hammered home the rebound.

Reading's best chance of the game came from Ola John, but he was denied at the near post.

Man of the match Al-Habsi made a number of great saves the pick of them being from Mile Jedinak's header.

Reading's next game is in the Chsmpionship on Tuesday evening, when they travel to high flying Brighton.
