READING came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Championship league leaders Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Royals had the better of the opening 45 minutes and Oliver Norwood’s 25-yard free-kick forced a fine save out of David Stockdale.
After the break, the Seagulls opened the scoring as Jamie Murphy converted Tomer Hemed’s pass.
Matej Vydra hit the equaliser with 12 minutes left, after Stockdale failed to hold an effort from Reading’s best player Nick Blackman.
Reading are in action again in the Championship at home on Tuesday night (8pm) when they face a visit from Huddersfield.
The Yorkshire side were beaten 2-1 at Burnley on Saturday and are 17th in the Championship, 10 places below the Royals.
