READING moved up to third in the Championship after an excellent 2-1 win at fellow play-off rivals Burnley.
The Royals were fast out of the blocks as Nick Blackman slotted home Hal Robson-Kanu’s back heel after five minutes.
Reading doubled their advantage soon after as Chelsea loanee Lucas Piazon scored.
Burnley pulled a goal back just after the hour mark as Tendayi Darikwa tapped in at the back post.
Then in the final minutes of the game the home side’s Sam Vokes saw his effort cleared off the line by Oliver Norwood.
He then hit the bar with a free-kick as Reading recorded their fourth away win on the trot.
Next for Royals is a mouth watering home game against Middlesbrough at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday (3pm).
