READING wrapped up their pre-season campaign with 0-0 draw with visiting Spanish side Espanyol.
Both sides ended this friendly contest with 10 men as Alvaro Gonzalez and the Royals Jordan Obita were both dismissed.
Reading's best effort in the first half came from Danny Williams, as he shot just wide from Obita, who signed a new Reading contract to keep it at the club until 2018 on Thursday.
After the break, there were few chances in the game with Orlando Sa forcing a save just after the hour mark.
As the game came to a close, sub Gonzalez did not last long on the field as he was shown a red card after a fracas on the touchline.
Reading’s Obita was also given his marching orders after being dismissed for a late challenge.
The Royals will now look to have a good week of training ahead of their Championship opener away at Birmingham City on Saturday.
