A SUPER strike from Nick Blackman helped Reading to an excellent 1-1 draw in their pre-season game with Premier League Swansea City at Adams Park on Friday night.

Both sides had chances in the first 45 minutes, but neither side was able to find the net.

The Royals broke the deadlock a minute after the re-start as Blackman score with a great long range effort.

The Swans hit back two minutes later as Kyle Bartley scored the equaliser.

Reading’s Pavel Pogrebnyak then hit the post with a bullet header from Oliver Norwood.

Swansea then also hit the woodwork twice, thanks to Jonjo Shelvey’s in swinging corner and then Marvin Emnes' shot.

Reading will continue their pre-season campaign at League Two Crawley on tomorrow night.
