READING will have a second chance to make it into the semi-finals of the FA Cup after they drew their quarter-final tie at Bradford City 0-0.

The replay between the two sides will now take place on Monday March 16 at the Madejski Stadium.

Bradford, who had already taken the Premier League scalps of Chelsea and Sunderland, had the first chance of the game from a James Hanson’s header.

In front of a capacity crowd of nearly 25,000, the Yorkshire side then had a let off as Pavel Pogrebnyak right footed shot hit the post after good work from Jamie Mackie.

The home side’s Gary Liddle then also had a chance which came off the woodwork as the first 45 minutes ended 0-0. After the break, Bradford had the better of the chances as Hanson fired just wide and Andrew Davies headed over the bar.

The Royals then almost grabbed a late winner as Oliver Norwood’s free-kick hit the post as in the end both sides had to settle for a draw.

Reading manager Steve Clarke said: “This was a good old-fashioned cup tie. Both teams will look forward to see who they might get in the semi-final, which when the drawn on Monday.”

Before the Royals can focus on the FA Cup replay they have a couple of Championship games starting with a home game against Brighton on Tuesday night (kick-off 8pm).
