READING joined in the transfer deadline day madness by signing striker Glenn Murray on loan from Crystal Palace.
The 30-year-old, who scored 30 goals to fire the south London club to the Premier League two years ago, has joined the Royals on loan until January.
Speaking on Twitter after the move was completed, Murray, whose previous clubs include Carlisle, Rochdale and Brighton, explained that the loan was with a view to a permanent transfer.
Leaving the Madejski Stadium on loan until January is Dutch winger Roystan Drenthe, who will spend the next four months with Sheffield Wednesday.
