ROSS Cook scored a goal and was shown a red card as Hartley Wintney lost 5-1 away at Combined Counties League Premier Division high-flyers Ashford Town (Middlesex) on Saturday.
Hartley found themselves two goals down inside the opening 10 minutes, Mark Bitmead and Samad Kazi finding the net, but there was no further scoring before half-time.
Cook pulled a goal back for Hartley two minutes into the second half, netting the rebound after a shot had been saved, but Dan Fleming scored twice in the space of three minutes to make it 4-1.
Cook then received his marching orders and Rob Curtis completed the scoring, making it 5-1 at the final whistle.
The result leaves Hartley seventh in the table ahead of a home game against mid-table Bedfont Sports on Saturday.
