TADLEY Calleva are through to the final of the Basingstoke Senior Cup after beating Alton Town 2-1 in the semi-finals at Barlows Park last night.

Substitute Tam Sotonye was the Tadley hero, scoring twice in the final 20 minutes to win the game. He got the opening goal after 72 minutes, forcing the ball home from close range, before breaking clear to double the lead with five minutes to go.

Mario Nurse missed a penalty between the two goals, and Alton pulled a goal back in the final minute, but Tadley hung on to progress.

Danny Dolan's men are in Wessex League Division One action twice over the Easter weekend, travelling to US Portsmouth on Saturday and Andover Town on Monday.

Hartley Wintney FC are just two points off the top six in the Combined Counties League Premier Division after a 3-2 win over Farnham Town.

Sam Argent bagged a first-half brace to put the hosts 2-1 up at the break and while Farnham levelled, Shane Hollamby got the winner for Hartley.

The village side host fifth-placed Cove on Saturday, before travelling to struggling Alton on Monday.

Whitchurch United suffered their seventh consecutive defeat in Wessex League Division One, going down 4-0 away at Brockenhurst to slip to 13th in the table.

They travel to struggling Fawley on Saturday, before hosting league leaders Alresford Town on Monday.

AFC Aldermaston's trip to Locks Heath in the Hampshire Premier League was postponed. They travel to Clanfield tomorrow night and Liss Athletic on Saturday, before hosting AFC Stoneham on Monday.
