HARTLEY Wintney moved up another place to 10th in the Combined Counties League Premier Division table with a 2-0 win away at Raynes Park Vale last night.

Sam Argent scored both of the visitors’ goals in the first half. He opened the scoring from the penalty spot after he had been fouled in the area before heading home the second from Jack Coventry's cross.

The result means that the village side, who still have games in hand over most of the sides around them, are just two points behind sixth-placed Molesey, who visit the Memorial Ground tomorrow night.

That match is the start of a tricky run of fixtures for Ben Dillon’s team, who travel to fifth-placed Westfield on Saturday and host Windsor, who are fourth, next Tuesday.

Manager Ben Dillon said: "It's nice to be back playing games and we are going well at the moment. We are getting back into contention for a top-five finish, which was the aim at the start of the season."
