HARTLEY Wintney snapped a four-game losing streak with an emphatic 5-0 victory over visiting Mole Valley at the Memorial Ground last night.

Shane Hollamby was the star of the show, finding the net four times, while Ashley Lloyd was the other Hartley scorer.

The hosts led 3-0 at half-time before adding two further goals after the break. Hollamby scored the pick of them in the second half, going on a 30-yard run before cleverly chipping the ball over the visiting goalkeeper.

Hartley manager Ben Dillon said: “I asked for a reaction after we went out of the FA Vase on Saturday and I got what I wanted from them.

“It’s disappointing to be out of the Vase but we had a decent run and our main aim is the league. We want to be in the top three by Christmas and get all of our games in hand out of the way.

“The games are coming thick and fast at the moment but it’s good to have everyone fit and back in the squad.”

Last night’s win means Hartley sit 14th in the Combined Counties Premier Division, 17 points behind the leaders but with five games in hand.

They have two more home games this week, hosting Wembley on Saturday and Westfield on Tuesday night.
