AFC Aldermaston’S excellent late-season run continued as they beat both Liss and Fleetlands to extend their winning run to five games.
Kai Parton-Edey and Michael Porter scored at either end of the game to give Terry Rooney’s men a 2-1 victory at home to Liss on Wednesday night.
They went on to win by the same scoreline on Saturday, this time the victory coming away at Fleetlands.
An own-goal in the opening minute set them on their way but Fleetlands levelled early in the second half. However, Aldermaston were the better side throughout and got the winner from a long throw on 68 minutes, Parton-Edey again finding the net.
Aldermaston moved up to 13th in the Hampshire Premier League table as a result and are in action tomorrow night, hosting bottom side Bournemouth Sports. They travel to mid-table Hedge End Rangers on Saturday and league leaders Locks Heath on Tuesday.
