HARTLEY Wintney FC, Whitchurch United and AFC Aldermaston all saw their games postponed as the wet weather continued to cause problems for football in north Hampshire on Saturday.

Rain on Friday meant that the pitch at Hartley Wintney's Memorial Ground was unsuitable for play once more, with their home game against Camberley Town in the Combined Counties League Premier Division being postponed. Hartley are due to travel to Reading Town for a cup game tomorrow night.

Whitchurch were forced to call off a visit from Wessex League Premier Division leaders Winchester City due to a waterlogged pitch at Longmeadow. The Jam Boys will be hoping to get a game played tomorrow, when they are due to travel to Folland Sports.

Aldermaston's home gaime against Liss Athletic in the Hampshire Premier League also fell victim of the weather.

They will be hoping that their pitch recovers in time for the visit of Colden Common on Wednesday night, while they are due to travel to Baffins Milton Rovers in the Hampshire Premier League Cup on Saturday.
