OVERTON United are up to seventh in the Hampshire Premier League table after beating hosts Liphook United 3-2 on Saturday, with Chris Lavisher scoring all three goals.

The visitors made a slow start and were punished after just four minutes as Liphook took the lead from a corner, but Overton were level before the break, Myles Englefield laying on the chance for Chris Lavisher to equalise.

Lavisher put his side ahead eight minutes into the second half, converting Danny Houseman’s pass, but a fine strike soon had the hosts level.

However, Overton and Lavisher in particular, were not to be denied and the striker completed his hat-trick from Chris Morris through-ball to secure all three points for the visitors.

Overton host mid-table Otterbourne on Saturday, while AFC Aldermaston, who have been without a game for two weeks, host high-flying Baffins Milton Rovers in the quarter-finals of the Hampshire Premier League Cup.
