TADLEY Calleva manager Danny Dolan tasted victory against former club Overton United on Tuesday night, his current side progressing in the North Hants Senior Cup with a 1-0 victory at Barlows Park.
Mario Nurse scored the only goal of the game with just 10 minutes on the clock, slotting home from the penalty spot after an Overton player had been penalised for handball in the area.
Overton manager Titch Bloomfield felt the penalty decision was harsh on his side - but he was pleased with the way they responded to going behind.
Dolan was delighted to win the game and felt his side could have had more goals, with Overton 'keeper Sean O'Brien making a string of fine saves.
Next up for Tadley, whose trip to Ringwood was postponed last weekend, is a trip to Wessex League Division One strugglers Laverstock and Ford on Saturday.
Dolan has added to his attacking options by re-signing midfielder Ashley Ledger and striker Jason Graham, who both return after leaving the club in the summer, while the manager is hoping to bring in another midfielder in the coming weeks.
