NORTH Warnborough Reserves extended their lead at the top of Division Three with a 9-2 away win at DG Athletic.

Tom Davies started the rout, then slotted home a penalty for 2-0, before DG levelled things.

Starting from scratch again, Boro pressed again and Jack McGee edged the visitors 3-2 ahead.

Davies scored again to complete his first half hat-trick, and by half-time it was 5-2.

Davies put away his second penalty of the day for 6-2.

Dan Mellors scored a couple and Lawrence Wright buried another penalty to give Boro their ninth win on the trot.

Overton United beat Chineham Reserves 2-1.

Team FC wanted revenge for a reverse earlier in the season against contenders Camrose Social.

Left back Mitch Taylor earned his man of the match by opening the scoring with a right foot shot past the goalkeeper into the bottom corner. Taylor scored his second, a header from a cross into the top corner of the net.

Ryan Stephens also added to the score sheet, as they went on to win 5-1. Liam Rutter netted the only Camrose consolation.

Last Tuesday, in a competitive bordering on combative, but supremely well refereed match, between table toppers North Warnborough Reserves and Camrose Social, ended in a 2-1 win for Boro.

The game had to wait 25 minutes for the opener, as Nial Day pushed the ball to Dan Mellors, who rocked the visitors with a jaw-dropping back-heel into the goal.

On 35 minutes, Day made the second with a cross for Ryan Thorpe to nod in for 2-0, the score at the interval.

Camrose netted a reply to set up a tense second half, but the score remained 2-1 until the final minutes, when Boro were awarded a penalty. Substitute Tom Davies was brought down in the box, and he took the penalty and hit the post, the first penalty he's missed in four years.

Finally, Soldiers Return Reserves beat Chineham Athletic 9-0.
