The top two sides in the Basingstoke and District Sunday League Division One clashed last Sunday, with leaders Tron visiting Affini Technology and winning 5-1. Dave Parry was put through by Harry Cook for the opener, before George Jones levelled.

Cook rounded the goalkeeper from Parry’s pass to make it 2-1 at half-time Cook got his second and own goal made it 3-2.

With 20 minutes left James McCallion put a through ball for Parry to chip the goalkeeper, then Michael Morey tapped home from six yards to make 5-2. Ross Soper-Dyer was Tron’s man of the match.

In Division Two, Kirk Smith fired in a hat-trick as Eastrop Eagles battered Basingstoke Saints 7-1. Elliott Forsey(2), Charlie Coughlan and Ben Evans completed Eagles’ account, while Louis Woodman got Saints’ consolation.

Darren Head gave UWS a 1-0 15-minute lead after 15 minutes, but Hampshire Irons thanks to four from Mike Pemberton, James McIntosh (2) and James Arnold.

In Division Three Chineham Reserves’ new signing Luke Russell scored for them, but the star man was Lee Sappleton with a nap hand of five goals, as the hosts beat Overton United 6-4 to extended their unbeaten run to seven games. Overton United’s goalscorers included Lukas Skinner and Liam Randall.
