THE Basingstoke and District League Division One Championship will be decided on Saturday, when Twentyten play Tadley Calleva A, knowing if they do not lose they will be champions.

In Division Two, AFC Berg are looking almost certain to win the title and enhanced their title hopes when they defeated Twentyten Reserves in midweek 6-3.

Kieran Alleyne and Ashley Elward netted braces and there was one each for Lee Neal and Carlos Gonzales.

On Monday evening, work commitments saw Twentyten forced to cancel against AFC Berg, so they will get the three points.

Last Saturday Berg hit Chineham 6-0, as Neal (2), Elward (2), Harry Rudge and Dan Deadman all scored. Chineham's Paddy Callahan had a disputed goal disallowed when he felt was over the line.

Second in the table Sherborne Saints kept the pressure on Berg by winning 6-1 against Basingstoke Town Colts in midweek.

Matt Kelly hit a hat-trick for Saints and the other goals came from Mike Gilham, Andy Darmody and Graham Dwyer,

The Colts reply was from Ryan Nuttall.

Saints followed this up by beating well placed Basingstoke Athletic 4-1, as Jarad Moore, Ronnie Tamale, restored Kelly and Warren Hill were on target. Athletic's goal came from Connor Parker.

Basingstoke Colts had another excellent win by beating AFC Aldermaston A 6-1 last Saturday.

Bailey Craig, Liam Self, Benica Oprea, Tom Barnes, Tom Coughlin and Khial Bentaleb all found the net, while Vinny Kennedy replied.

Overton United lost 4-1 in the final of the North Hants Junior Cup to Andover New Street Swifts, as Siyanni Thomas scored their only goal.
