AFTER two weeks of postponement due to the waterlogged Herriard pitch, their Hampshire Junior A Cup quarter final was transferred to Southampton where the Basingstoke League club lost 5-0 to BTC Southampton Reserves.
Herriard's cause was not helped as they lost striker Chris Dobbie before the game and Sam Weber went off injured after 35 minutes.
Basingstoke Athletic returned to the top of the Basingstoke and District Division Two after beating Chineham 5-2.
Aaron Johns had them 2-0 up after 19 minutes and Matt Dean header made it 3-0 at half-time.
Chineham's Rickie Smith pulled a goal back, but Dean made it 4-1 with a 30-yard rocket.
James Brown scored Chineham's second and Kieran Challis put away the fifth for Athletic Somesay had a 6-2 win at AFC Aldermaston A, but found themselves two down in the opening 25 minutes as Vinny Kennedy netted twice.
Kane Wilson and Joe Hodge levelled things by the break and after the interval goals from Hodge, Luke Gore, Connor Stratton and Harry Knapp completed the win.
